Jessica,

I am working on a DAR application for a friend of mine. She has as her great great grandparents Sylvester Clark Sheets and Louise Margaret Scofield. I would like to e-mail you about the Scofield line.

We have requested the death reord of John Henry Scofield, born 6 Feb 1820 and died 1899 in Howell, livingston Co., MI. According to ancestry.com his is the father of Louise Margaret Scofield. We have the certificate of death of Louise Scofield that names her father as John Schifield. (Notice the spelling) No mother named. There is a book reference of the death of Sylvester Clark Sheets. We ordered the death record on Sylvester Clark Sheets but Clerk of Porter County, IN could not find it. I only Found the "Find a Grave for Sylvester Clark Sheets."

Hi Jessica, I was reading your genealogical research and think you and I "might" be related. My ggggrandfather was John Fitzgerald who married Mary "Polly" Whitlock and they had a son Blake Fitz Jarrell (thats his name when he moved to GA)in Staunton, VA in 1784. Have you run across these names? I've hit a brick wall with John. The name John and Thomas is common in my family tree. A relative of John wrote that he was "part Indian." Any help your could give me would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Znalazłam tę stronę, a tak sie sklada, ze poszukuje swoich przodkow i byla tu wzmianka o Marie Augustyniak ( Dabrowska, Betlinski). Zamieszkala ostatnio w Bay City. Moglabys cos o niej napisac? Ta Marie ma zwiazek z moim pradziadkiem. Nie znam angielskiego, pisze z Poland. Jezeli nie znasz polskiego to sobie przetlumaczysz.Prosze o odpis i pomoc.

Good job on your Green genealogy. I am impressed that you are looking at it now instead of later. I recently retired and decided to research the Greens. IF your Cirel/Cyril is son of Nahum & Dorcus then your Greens are as WASPY-White Anglican Protestants as they come...no French Yankee. There were some books written in the 1800's that document the Greens descended from Thomas Green(e) of Malden MA. I believe they dropped the e because there were other Greene families in the MA Colony and the Greene in the RI colony is yet another family (with some muey importante and impressive ancestors such as the Revolutionary War hero Nathaniel Greene. The research done by LDS in the 30's is sometimes inaccurate..they did not have the benefit of the internet! I am doing a cut and paste genealogy using an excel schedule and info from the net. It has been very interesting when stories about the families and the migrations are included. I will be happy to share when (as my husband says) I get to the end of the internet.
