They say it’s my birthday… soon…
Aug 28th, 2005 by Jessica

I picked up an early birthday present for myself at JoAnn’s yesterday. It’s a Sizzix die-cut machine with the Graffiti alphabet and some mini-tag dies. Almost all scrapbooking supplies are 50% off this week at JoAnn’s! It just so happens that my friend Sonya and I are going to an all day/all night crop at Recollections on Saturday! I am so excited because I rarely get to scrap with friends. Everyone I know who scraps lives in Michigan, so this will be so much fun! It will be quite a birthday treat.

Andrew also gave me my gift early this year. He bought me a Nintendo DS with Nintendogs: Chihauha & Friends! I have two females so far, a chihauha named Tiger and a Yorkie named Teddy.

Sorry for the seriously poor quality. It is really hard to take a photograph of a backlit gaming device.

Once I save up enough money, I’ll probably buy a Spaniel and name her Tasha. This game is SO much fun! I absolutely love it. My favorite thing so far is to get two dogs playing Jump Rope together. You hold one end with the stylus, one dog holds the other end, and the second dog jumps rope! It is FLIPPING HILARIOUS and I darn near peed my pants when I saw it the first time. The dog that jumps rope does flips and flops and somersaults and everything! It is SO funny!!!!

I’d like to give a nice big HOWDY out to my blogging friends Sue & Charlotte who came all the way from Philly to Arizona to have pulled pork with us at Joe’s in Gilbert.

Have a safe trip back, girls!

I hate iPowerWeb
Aug 18th, 2005 by Jessica
Usually I stay away from negative publicity because… well, I wouldn’t want people talking sh*t about me, so I don’t like talking sh*t about them.

However, for iPowerWeb, the most horrible web hosting provider and domain registrar on the planet, I will make an exception. Our homeowner’s association website was registered through them by my (unknowledgable) predecessor on the committee. Ever since she decided to ditch us and move away, I have been trying without success to get the domain name moved into either my name, or the HOA’s name.

Well, they say I can’t put it into the HOA’s name – it has to have a single person accountable which I think is total BS. I don’t want to be the sole contact for the HOA! What happens when I move away and they can’t contact me? That is just stupid. Aside from that – they have absolutely REFUSED to allow me to change the registration to me, even though I have the predecessor’s credit card number and it’s listed in my home address and phone number. It still has her name listed.

They REFUSE to allow me to charge the bill to anything other than the original credit card that it was charged to, because my card doesn’t have HER name on it. To top all that crap off, the domain expired yesterday, and I’ve been trying for about a total of 5 hours to get ahold of some f*cker at iPowerWeb both via telephone and via their “Live 24-hour Web Chat” feature. Nobody answers, either method, and they don’t list an email address for support (not that they would ever answer, anyway).

Never, ever, ever ever ever consider doing business with iPowerWeb!

I HATE THESE BASTARDS.

Objects in mirror
Aug 18th, 2005 by Jessica

Andrew’s new car is very small and cutish. It handles nicely. I drove it to work today while he is out of town visiting Google’s headquarters.

One thing I noticed is that they put the wrong quote on the rearview mirror! It should say, “Objects in mirror are a whole hell of a lot bigger than you are. Get out of the way!”

It’s Spicy!
Aug 13th, 2005 by Jessica
We drove to Wickenburg yesterday so that Andrew could buy a new car. It’s a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo LT in Spicy Orange. I think he’s in love!

I hope you continue to love it, hun!

Latest Happenings
Aug 3rd, 2005 by Jessica
I know I haven’t been around here much lately. I’ve been so incredibly busy with work and other activities there is hardly time for anything outside of sleep! Work is going very well; I’m enjoying the people and the tasks.

Outside of that I’ve been scrapbooking a lot, cleaning the house (drawers and cabinets and closets and stuff) and getting ready for the trip to Colorado this weekend. I’m co-hosting a baby shower for my friend Katie at her home north of Denver. Should be lots of fun, but a lonnnnnng drive!

Well, I’d better get going to work. Talk to ya’ll soon, I hope!
