Tonight was my last class for Wilton Course 2. We completed our grand finale cake, which took forever! Mine has roses, apple blossoms, primrose, rose buds, mums, pansies, daffodils, and violets set on a cake with basketweave and a rope border.

So here I am with my cheesy grin and my even cheesier Certificate of Merit from the Wilton courses. It took about 15-20 hours of work to make this cake.

Almost looks too good to eat, but I’ll do my best! I signed up for the last course, number three, which starts next Tuesday. We’ll be learning tiered cakes, cupped flowers (like lillies) and fondant, as well as sugar calligraphy and some other neat tricks. I hope it was as fun as this class was!

That looks fanfreakingtastic! Whoo hooo! You can do weddings now. First you’ll make the cake, then you’ll take the pictures. You don’t sew by any chance, do you?
Yes, what Charlotte said!
As long as you take a picture first, I guess you CAN have your cake and eat it too, lol!
beautiful work!
I think I’ll fly out and help you eat that cake . . .
Jessica, Jessica… wherefore art thou Jessica?
Jess,
Fabulous work. Can you have them bronzed!
Congratulatios ; look beautiful, after 20 hours you did. I’m sure the next one will be with less time.
